So the main holiday rush is over and we are now getting ready for some wonderful events for you to enjoy.

This Thursday 8th September will be a diesel hauled train – getting Kingswood into action once more.  We are really pleased that so many of you love diesel traction.

Then this coming Saturday and Sunday 10th and 11th September is the return of our Heritage Transport weekend.  You can come to Prospidnick and catch the steam train to Truthall to visit the exhibition in our adjacent field.  We have a range of vintage and classic vehicles including traction engines on display and there are refreshments available.  Trains will be running all day so you can stay as long as you like at the field enjoying the atmosphere.  The first train leaves Prospidnick at 10.30 and the last one leaves Truthall at 16.30.  There is no parking available at Truthall so please use our free parking at  Prospidnick.  At Prospidnick our buffet will be open from 9am for breakfasts and will be offering our normal range of lunches and treats during the day, the shop and ticket office will open at 9.30 am.  As always dogs are welcome and you don’t need to book – just turn up.

Plus we will also be bringing back our Kids for a Quid day on Sunday 2nd October.  This has always been a firm favourite in the past so we hope you will take advantage of a trip on our steam loco for this annual opportunity of getting a bargain day out.
