So sorry but we are going to have to delay our reopening which was planned for Wednesday 21st July. Sadly, and despite our real achievements over the past months, we need take just a little bit more time, due mainly to the delayed relaxation of COVID requirements, to complete our stringent volunteer familiarisation and assessment procedures, and finish the last few items of our construction projects in the car park area.
Of course, we are still able to welcome visitors to our new ‘Cornish Carriages’ buffet and restaurant cars which will open this week at 09:30 on Wednesday to Sunday; our revamped Railway Shop will also be staffed on those days and they would love to see you.
Most days this coming week, our new ‘Peckett 2000’ locomotive, and our carriages, will be bustling up and down the line for some final staff training and assessment, and you will occasionally be able to see it at Truthall Halt. However, we are sorry but we will not be offering train rides until Wednesday 28th.
