Well we are in the middle of our return to the 40’s weekend. Yesterday we were entertained by our wonderful friends from the WWII Re-enactment South West Group who put so much effort into making it a superb day. Vintage Singer Betty Bluebird was with us, performing our favourite hits from the blitz, appearing three times.  We also had a garden railway display with live steam, vintage vehicles, horses – including a farrier display and lots of super visitors, some of whom dressed for the part.  It’s our last day today (Monday) – so if you want to catch the re-enactment buzz drop in and see us and get a feel for the  WWII life. First train is at 10.30 and the last at 3.30pm.

Our programme for the rest of this week

As it’s bank holiday week we are also open on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday with steam trains and lots of time to chat with you! Learn more about our railway and our plans for the future.

Plus on Saturday 1st June we have an open day at our railway for anyone considering volunteering with us and wanting to learn more about what we do.  We will be there from 11am until 3pm if you want to drop by.

And finally

If you are a member of our railway bring your membership card when you visit us to get your substantially reduced price train ticket – one of our ways of saying thanks for supporting us!

Enjoy your bank holiday……….
