IN late October 2017 for the last day of the season, volunteers from the Helston Railway painted one of its iconic diesel locomotives pink to raise money for local charity St Julia’s Hospice ran by Cornwall Hospice Care.

The diesel locomotive was turned pink virtually overnight by the hard working volunteers at the Helston Railway for the last day of the 2017 season. Fast forward the clock to March 2017 and it gives the railway great delight to present Cornwall Hospice Care (which run the St Julia’s Hospice in Hayle) a cheque for £834.
Helston Railway’s Marketing Director Ben Harding comments “The railway is pleased to be able to support The St Julia’s Hospice via Cornwall Hospice Care and we hope that our donation will go toward continuing the good work that is done by them”
