Welcome To Helston Railway
The most southerly railway in the UK

Helston Railway Preservation Society was the result, back in 2002 of a vision by a small number of enthusiasts to re-open a section of the Helston branch line. We now have a fully functioning standard gauge heritage railway.
Helston Railway welcomes dogs to all areas, including in certain areas of our buffet carriages and on the trains to and fro from Prospidnick.
We are currently CLOSED, but rest assured we are working hard to get everything ready for the new running season.
For those that like to follow our goings on via social media you may have noticed posts have been a bit few and far between this year. This is going to change as we have new Facebook: The Helston Railway Page and Instagram: Official Helston Railway. Hopefully we will get back upto our old page followers quickly.

Traveling to Helston Railway

From Helston
From Helston take the A394 to Penzance and follow the brown signs onto the B3302 to St Ives and Camborne.
Turn right at the Junction of the B3303 road to Camborne. Go through Crowntown and take the Chynhale and Prospidnick right hand turning.
At the bottom of the hill turn left and then after going under the railway bridge turn left up the incline to Trevarno Farm and follow the signs to the car park.
From Camborne
If you are coming from Camborne take the B3303 towards Helston and after going through Nancegollan turn left towards Chynhale and Prospidnick at the brown sign.
