Helston Railway Restoration Project

BuiltWithNOF

The line was lifted entirely by the end of 1965, and today none of the station buildings survive other than the Good's shed at Helston, which is now a home for the care of the elderly.

The photos on the right show two views of the track bed on the section at Trevarno in 2005

Phase 1 of the work programme involves the clearance of vegetation and the relaying of track on that section owned by the Trevarno Estate. It is intended eventually to build a station at Trevarno to serve the house and gardens.

Phase 2 will involve similar work from the boundary of the Trevarno property to Truthall Halt.

The Company urgently needs to purchase some lengths of track. Anybody who has knowledge of where some may be obtained is asked to inform  the Secretary/Site Manager, James Packman, on 01736 763503
